The 2022 USA Pickleball Atlantic South Regional Diamond Amateur Championship Qualifier will be June 21-26, 2022.   Registration will begin April 1, 2022.  This event will be a qualifier for the 2022 USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship to be held at the Pictona Pickleball complex in Holly Hill, FL in December 1-7, 2022.

The Atlantic South Regional Pickleball Tournament will have a new name "USA Pickleball Atlantic South Diamond Regional" and a new home for 2022, The Opelika Pickleball Facility in Opelika, Alabama. This year, we will be using a new format.  The first three days will be for players ages 60+ and up, the second three days will be for players ages 55+ and down.  This format should allow us to get more players involved and still finish each day at a reasonable time. Medals will be awarded for the event you registered for, even if there are combined brackets.
Registration fee will be $95.00.  This will include up to three events and all other fees. 

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Opelika will be our headquarters hotel, and is a 10–15-minute drive from the venue.  Our tournament rate is $89.00/night plus tax. This rate will include a buffet breakfast. Please call the hotel directly and ask for the tournament rate.

There are several important changes to regional and national tournaments being implemented in 2022.   
The 12 Diamond Regionals will culminate in the new Diamond Amateur Championship taking place December 1st-December 7th, 2022 at Pictona in Holly Hill, FL. Gold Medalists from the Diamond Amateur Championship will earn pre-registration (Golden Tickets) to the following year’s National Championships in Indian Wells.

• Gold and Silver Medalists from the Regional tournaments will earn pre-registration into the Diamond Amateur Championship at Pictona. All other participants from the regional tournaments will be eligible for the lottery into the Diamond Amateur Championship.

• Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists from Regional tournaments will be entered into the lottery for the 2022 National Championships in Indian Wells.

• There will be no pre-registration (Golden Tickets) from the 2022 Regional tournaments to the 2022 National Championships in Indian Wells.

 

Looking ahead to the 2023 season, the following qualifying procedures for the National Championships in Indian Wells will be added:                                         

• Silver and Bronze Medalists from the 2022 Diamond Amateur Championship at Pictona will be eligible for Phase 1 of the 2023 National Championships lottery. If openings remain after Phase 1, all Medalists from the 2023 Regional tournaments will be eligible for Phase 2 of the National Championships lottery.
